We try never to miss a Midtown Theatre production. They have been presenting live theater in the Charleston area since we moved here in the early 90s. Their quality is just as fine as Broadway's, often much better, and their selection of shows is always interesting and excellent. Their theater is conveniently located right off I 26 at the Cosgrove North exit, 10 minutes from downtown Charleston, and five minutes from West Ashley. So easy to access, and free, hassle-free parking.
Wake up Charleston! A small theater gem awaits you on the North Side. We were only passing through and had one of the best theater nights in ages. Saw the last performance of "I love you, now change". The cast was over the top. The venue is absolutely perfect, about 100 seats in a combination of cabaret style seating with tables and "bartop" seating in the back. Prices for drinks were very reasonable and they even had "small plates" for $5.00 with cheese fruit etc., perfect for a table of 4. The location is in a light industrial area on the North side just off the highway with free parking.
Was so pleased to attend last nights production of "Almost Maine." The actors were fantastic, the lights, music, and set worked beautifully together to enhance the performance. I loved the table seating and the space combined with that cheese and charcuterie plate was really lovely. Thank you for a fantastic way to spend a Saturday night. Glad to have found you. I plan on attending every chance I get!
